The Department of Computer Science in the College of Engineering and Computer Science at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites applications for one 9-month, non-tenure track, Assistant Professional Professor position in Computer Science to begin Fall 2024. The newly formed College aims to elevate its visibility in education, innovation, and research. The department has successful programs in computer science and geographical information science and offers an interdisciplinary PhD program in Geospatial Computer Science. The department is an active community of 23 full-time faculty members, and 300 BS, 380 MS, and 25 PhD students. The basic job requirements for the positions include:
Teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses as needed.
Supporting the instructional needs of the Computer Science programs,
Mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
Participating in and contributing to department’s service activities, and
Representing the department in regional and national computing functions as appropriate.
